WEEK 1| VEGETARIANISM


They say never say never but I would've never thought I would have the guts to give up meat completely. It's been my first week of vegetarianism and I must admit that this has been the best decision I ever made. Now I did however eat sushi this week and that made me felt so terrible afterwards. Even though I said I was only going to eat seafood which would've made me semi-vegetarian. Eliminating chicken and beef made me want to completely commit to vegetarianism. Becoming a vegetarian for me was about control. Controlling what you put into your body is everything.

Mind Over Matter
If you put your mind to it, you can do it. I literally woke up wanting a change and found it while at Red Robin. I honestly feel so liberated. Consuming fruits and vegetables daily is great for your body, skin, hair and overall health. It also improves your mood. I find myself fuller faster and more focused. Vegetarianism came into my life when I desperately needed it, I can't turn back now it's much more ahead. A lot I have to learn but I am not complaining.

Veggie Burger Preparation 
I cooked my fieldburger patties on the stove top, in a non-stick steel pan, I used extra virgin olive oil to fry the patties. I cooked the patties on each side for 4-5 minutes and just like that; DONE. Placed my patty on a bun with my vegan cheese, avacado and tomato. Each patty contains 25g of protein, 2g of sugar, 3g of dietary fiber, 440g of sodium. You can purchase these patties at Walmart, Publix, Earth Fare and Whole Foods Market.
